It sounds really sweet. Nice tremolo piece. They don't sell these guitars anywhere. Where did you buy it?

I'd have to A/B it with the original to be sure, but I know it sounds really good.  :)

I remember the original but not enough to make a comparison. I do like the tone of your new git-fiddle!

Well done mate! I like this tunage! My only crit is to make the a,m,i louder than the p. I alays had trouble with that as well.

Fantastic performance!  The mix has a nice warmth which is hard to do when playing a nylon string guitar. KUDOS on your new mic/guitar!

beautiful piece & guitar has a fantastic wood tone. tremolo is neat in this. so pimi is thumb index middle index pattern ? i am so far away from being able to play like this hence it's cool to listen to techniques

Hi Kev, thanks, glad you like the warm sound.

Hi Daren, thanks, glad you like it. Yes, pimi is thumb, index, middle, index. If I want a longer tremolo I play piami (a=ringfinger).

Hi Ed,thanks, glad you like the sound.

It appears that even the greats have a hard time with it as well. You'll notice though he uses a,m,i. Once you get that roll, it sounds much smoother.

    Again, I love the music!

    kewl. thanks. & wow.
damn my right hand. i might as well be playing with mittens on. was just checking out the utube link Robert posted. so weird how i'm right handed but i can't get it to do much more than fingerpick-rock/folk style or like the beginning to Happiness Is A Warm Gun, whereas my left fret hand is like a gymnast compared to the one i write with. i can play/fake Van Halen's Little Guitars intro OK but Eddie is tremolo-ing with a pick (at least to my ears) on the high E, B & G string while hammering on low E with fret hand.

    Segovia, i'll never be...

    Hi Rik,

Congrats on the new guitar! There are few things more inspirational than a new instrument.

It sounds great but, in your hands, so did your old 'plywood box' so I'm not surprised.

Not been around much - no time to do anything but work, sleep, and eat... but I pop back for a couple of minutes and what do I find? I find Rik with a nice relaxing Nocturne, sounding absolutely splendiferous with a gorgeous piece of music...

Great job, Rik - your new guitar is sounding fab.

    Cheers,
    Terry.

Nice tone as said.  Nice finger work.  I find that I play more and more fingerstyle and the more I do it the more I want to do it.   Nice done and really clear.  Are you mic'ing that?, because if you aint that's a hell of sweet DI.

Rik - I love listening to you play.  There is some clarity and tone in this one that is a step above your other recordings.  Like Daryl's Q - Is this mic'ed?
