"Now time" and timebar stoping whilst the audio continue playing. Mbox 2 micro

Dear friends, i am using Sonar producer edition 8.0 with a mbox 2 micro. I have a trouble that althougth the audio plays continuosly until i stop it (with space bar button), the time bar and the nowtime counter stops in the first milliseconds sounding.
Then i can listen to a audio track perfectly, but i can´t see where it is playing, in order to cut, edit, etc. etc.

Any idea how could i solve it?
The driver is ASIO digidesign driver mbox

Thank you very much for your help,
Cástor

If I understand you correctly, try hitting the pause/break key on your keyboard.

And if that doesn't help, try the scroll lock key

I did have that problem when I was trying to edit while the project was playing. All I did was stop and play again and it would work. Though there was one case where it wouldn't

Thank you very much for all your help. I think that i didn´t explain well the problem i have (sorry for my bad english).

I open a project, and when i hit play (in the keyboard, or in the screen button) the tracks play and sound, the meters work, but  the timeline doesn´t move at all, and the "now time" counter doesn´t count. Then it is really imposible to cut and paste, as i doesn´t know the point that is sounding or where i stop.

I checked your suggestions (pause key, scroll lock key), but i can´t make  the counter work.
    All the best,

I know exactly what you are talking about. If you can't fix this then use the ctrl spacebar to stop at where you hear you need to cut and paste. This ctrl+spacebar stops where it currently is and brings you there.
Test it out and report back if it works for you.

Thank you for all your help.
I tried to use the ctrl spacebar tip, but the timeline bar doesn´t go to the point where it was sounding. It brings me to the last point where the timeline bar was (i.e. at the beginning of the song).

Hmm... that's wierd. Does the ctrl+spacebar work for anybody else?

You have to set that option in Global first.
Castor you must have toggled a keyboard short cut that is causing your problem. Go to the help files and look for the list of keyboard short cuts and look for the one for auto scrolling. Sorry I don't have Sonar on this computer to look it up.
