Sometimes I wish I had a synaptic output port, so I could record the imagery in my head direct to video. This triggered some very cool stuff. It grabs you and takes you with it right from the start. Very powerful sound. Rapture is one of my favorite synths, but I still need to spend more time learning what it can do. Thanks for sharing, Shawn.

It needs words or a melody. If you move the beats around so everything sounds off, it would be a splendid example of minimalism. Nice work.

Nice theme and sounds - but somehow too little "happening" to keep my attention after a while.

Shawn, I love Rapture, and I use it a lot. I like what you've done here, but I think you've just scratched the surface of what Rapture can do. Once you get past the bread and butter sounds, Rapture can surprise you and lead you into unknown possibilities. Overall, like all your productions, this is polished and very professional.

I know I've barely gotten under the hood in Rapture and this song, still just browsing the presets and usually applying some external effect VSTs like SONITUS DELAY included with SONAR which is great! -Shawn

You know, this makes me want to take a look at Rapture. I tried to like DimPro and we never got along, so I sort of overlooked Rapture. This sounds really great, as an experiment. Needs more meat to be fully realized, although it would sit well on a 90's New Age CD. Regards, Dan

Patrick O'Hearn - Between Two Worlds was the first modern electronic "New Agy" CD I bought in my youth and I have to say his albums were a major factor in the musical direction I went on in life, He inspired me. -Shawn Tonight I am RE-OPENING this project to add some more meat and sugar to the mix, please wish me good luck and GODSPEED everyone! -Shawn

I was Ruptured once? I don't recommend it... (never grew back) Although this does sound good. Does it do bluegrass? Good luck with your meat. (I'm sorry for that right there Lord.)

Rapture was the very first synth I liked in Sonar, and still do. Being a piano player, I spent hours on end just finding out what I could achieve using many, various keyboard techniques. I like the minimalism you've achieved with this track.

Nice stuff Shawn for me it could do with so more ear candy to stand alone but as a soundtrack piece it would work very well.

As I am known to say, it was difficult to twerk to, and believe me "I tried..." Unfortunately, not unlike the Kimmel spoof video, I came crashing down on the table and broke it as well as the iPhone which was doing the video or I would post the performance here. Be thankful that iPhone didn't make it through the ordeal. "Trust me when I say" you don't want to see me standing on my head shaking my arse... That girl did have the skills to pay the bills though? God bless her parents...

Lots of nice sounds. As a demo of Rapture I think it is a fine example. At first I was critiquing like it is a song being presented. It was a bit repetitive as a song but it wasn't,... right? Either way, I don't know how to use synths for the most part and am fascinated at the sounds you guys get out of them. Very full and rich, Shawn.

Yes evadianepug, not a song, my stuff is generally more like soundtrack textures, I write moods that hold their mood throughout mostly...but sometimes I write songs. THANK YOU! :)
