"Sacre bleu" bit of fun on guitar by Morenoise

Hi All, after a couple of pretentious pieces , now here's just a bit of fun on guitar in jazz-manouche style :

Light-hearted and fun. Love your phrasing - playing against the beat and bringing it right back again. Can't wait to get home now and play some Django on the big speakers!

I like the piece a lot. I wish the rhythm guitar had a more definite "bass" to it, in terms of the recorded sound.

I'm not a guitar player, but it seems that you lead playing is better than your rhythm playing.  Maybe you don't chord much on acoustic guitars?  It sounds like you need to squeeze the guitar harder to get the chords sounding cleaner?  Just my $0.02

Hi Paul, thanks for listening, enjoy Django, I do to.

Hi Jonas, thanks for listening, that rhythm sound is on purpose, 1930's style "pompe manouche".

A nice, light, 'gypsy-jazz' vibe on this Rik. Wonderfully played!

    hi Ric,
you are kinda like me , you like to experiment w the music  and have fun
Sacre bleu in that light sounds really good
a few things ...the rhythm guitar sometimes gets a little loose in the corners ( a place i know well )
    the melody sounds good
have you considered adding a few more rhythm guitars to this ?
it might tighten that end of things up and it would definitely stay true to the genre

Only thing missing is Stephane Grappelli on violin. The playing was really good. The mix is kind of light on the low end. Since there is no bass in the song, it's o.k. boost up the bass a bit on the guitars.

Hi Kenny, thanks for listening, this thing is just what I call a "happy little accident", makes me smile anyway. I did  clone the rhythm track and panned it left and right and nudged one track a bit. Recording a second rhythm guitar would have indeed been better, but what are the odds of me playing a second rhythm guitar in sync with the first one ?

Hi James, thanks for listening, this tune is only missing a melody, rhythm and bass, but other than that it's perfect .

Hi Scott , thanks for listening, it is a fun little jam .

Hi Kenny, seriously, I know that rhythm guitar playing is my weak point, maybe I should use that metronome after all .

    Django!

The rhythm is a little corse, other than that, this is fun.  Cool to see you working on your octaves too.  Some very nice licks, good groove.

    Cool.

    Hi Rik,

    +1 to the Django reference.

Nice song and playing, as always.

Always a pleasure to hear you play.

Hi Gary, glad you liked it, I never thought that I would be mentioned in the same sentence as Django, almost seems like sacrilege, sacre bleu ! .
