"Spectrum" new synth instrumental using Saurus

All the synths are Saurus, and I used Battery 3 for the drums.

    Hey, that's nice!  I can see myself coming home from work (if I wasn't retired..lol) and drinking a (large) glass of wine to this while unwinding.

    My ear kept wanting to hear a major cymbal crash in there and maybe a bit of low end drumming at some point.  I love the drums in Battery and use them a lot myself.  The Saurus sounds good!  And was that a bit of a key change right near the end?  I liked it.

    More!!!

    Cheers!

    Aren't synthesizers wonderful?  This short piece has a life of its own, and takes you on a brief but interesting journey.  There is a place for tunes like this, and maybe you've found it.  Of course, it takes a good arrangement and performances to make this work, and you nailed it.

    All the best,

    Absolutely loved it except for the 'guitary' synth which I really didn't enjoy at all. Can't say why, just didn't like it when it came in. The rest is awesome though, really relaxing, reminds me of like echo the dolphin (anyone remember that game?) or something else water based.

    @TBosco:  Thanks!

    It's been a long time since my music theory classes, so I am not even what is going on in this one (haha) maybe some sorta mode, not sure.

    On the last key change: the bass pedal is holding down a low G, but the melody goes F# A G# A G# C# E. Seems like the F# and G would clash (and also the G#/G) but they sound ok together with those 2 preset sounds in Saurus. Probably one of them has a bit of detuning for a bit of that analog sorta sound

    The bass pedal then goes up to B, while the melody basically is is D E G A (no sharps/flats) over that bass. The very last part, the bass pedal goes to A, while the melody is basically F D C G A E F G C (no sharps/flats), last note of the melody part is D with the bass pedal on the G.

    Anyone want to take a stab at what's going no here, you're welcome, it's too early (5:57am) and I need more coffee.

    Thanks!  I always hope someday to get my own "sound", hopefully I am getting close to it finally (hehe). I usually take a long time just getting the sounds that would fit right for whatever melodies/bass lines, etc, and how everything blends together.

    Thanks Adji   I remember that game (I think it was on the Sega Genesis) but can't remember the music for it
