Sounds good, here! Nice track! Bass is full, but not too boomy. It's very present, but it doesn't mask other instruments in volume or in frequency. For perspective I'm listening on a bose freestyle speaker system with a bass module (sub) hooked up to my laptop.

cool knowledge reckedtrek...... and i hope your sig name isn't referring to your mountain or road bike!! LOL yes, this is a slightly different mix than the album version, with a tweaked low end.......... i'm trying to decide a new approach and some low end tricks as i re-mix another album, using this song as the guinea pig.

Well, I haven't heard the original, but it sounds great. And yes- it's a long story but I've had the same Trek road bike for over 30 years. It's beat and has been through a lot, and it helped me recover after I went through a few rough times, so it's become my online identity. So nice catch!

Really nice. I especially like it when you get loosey goosey with the rhythm about midway where you say *look at my face* just the perfect touch (but imperfect like japanese art which always has to have an imperfection). :D:D

hey eph, yes, that section you describe loosey goosey, that's something that i felt just needed to 'float' across the rythym, rather than fall in line with... thanks for checking it out

Great groove, man. Love the guitar jams. I think, like another comment the bottom seems to be a little hot around 100Hz. I'm listening on a computer's 5.1 system. I listen to a lot of music through this system during the day. Great job!

thanks jmasno5, yes, bottom hot at 100hz.... it seems on smaller systems it translates fine, but on systems with extended low end, it ends up being a bit too much. good to know.

Trippy groovalicious-ness, with nicely seasoned guitar fills weaving in and out.

Hi Rob, having listened to the album for a while this track has become a firm favourite. It's a real grower. how does the low end translate on your system at volume? Quite loud through headphones, it's a little light actually.

on cheap AKG phones - vocals are a little recessed. nice use of the stereo field BB. Bass (guitar) is fine, kick needs maybe to come up a little but maybe that's the limitations of the headphones.

THANKS FOR THAT, james.... cool. i guess if the low end is loud.... but not woofy or muddy, that's a good thing..... headphones are tricky, they seem to be all over the map for low end goofiness, i have some ear buds that have 'extended low end' (reads 'mud')..... and i use those sometimes to tell if something is REALLY off.... if pro mixes sound good thru them, but my mixes sound too bassy, then i know i have some detective work to do! glad you are digging the album, james...

hi mgh! vox is always so highly subjective, i think they sit well in stereo because of the panning off of everything else except bass.. the drum track, is just a stereo drum machine track i had from years ago, there's no way for me to tweak individual tracks, all i can do is eq it..... as it is, i used a MB comp on it to bring the kick up to where it is, the original track was pretty flat, but i still wanted to use it....
