"This is Love" - added everything but the drums

The same tracks except for the vocal.  I knew if the singer listened to it a few times she would want to do better.  And I brought in a backing female singer and just let her do what she wanted.  It came out nicely, I think adding development.  Then the lead singer had to add some high vocals. 
 
Anyway, still have the rights for the song by PJ Harvey.

The vocals sound very nice, maybe too nice. The guitar playing sounds cool, vibey, and tight.
 
I think the drums will add a lot of energy to the overall feel.

Mike, that was a joke from the last time I put this song out.  Several people wanted drums, but I've been doing this kind of acoustic stuff sans drums and most of it works fine.  Frankly, it is a pain to schedule drums at the house and my programming chops aren't up to it if I can't lay it on a grid.  I guess I need to start w/ drums, but I like how the bassist/guitarist and singer groove together.  They do some of the songs live & I like the vibe.

oops. Sorry. I guess after I read your comment I kind of heard the drums in my head.
 
In all honesty, when I was done listening I flashed on the idea that it is sort of tamed down, old timey, Jefferson Airplane thing going on and drums were part of that imagined impression.
 
The vocals seem beautiful but perhaps emotionally displaced from the vibe of the guitar part.
 
I never heard the PJHarvey version but I am guessing it's a bit edgier or rev'ed up in feel.
 
I think I was imagining a bit more edge or drive to serve as a foil to the sweetness of the vocal delivery.
 
I'm way past my comfort level of commenting on someone else's art. I like to live and let live and try to avoid making suggestions like you should add drums. I wish I'd understood the circumstance better beforehand and I didn't put my foot in my mouth, but I figured I should explain it now that I have. :-)
 
I'm going to change my mind and say I like it just the way it is for what it is. :-) Bring it on!

Soundcloud always seems to do this.  I think the problem is that it is my sub site - so the link syncs to the owner's version of the page. I haven't found a way to get rid of that hashtag w/o putting it in word or something since everytime I just try to edit it I click and go to the song on my Soundcloud.  Sorry about that everyone.
 
And yea guitartrek, "This is Love" is the second song.  even I manage to finish a song every month or so.  And unless you go pro w/ Soundcloud, you can't move songs higher.  "Under my Spell" is one the singer wrote, but using the same techniques.  That one doesn't have drums either, but bongos.

Great arrangement and vocals.  i like the way it builds towards the end.

 I kept waiting for the drums..lol...only because you mentioned it. Doesn't need them really. I liked your tones on both guitars and the panning was perfect. The vocalist reminds me of the girl who sings " Black Velvet" at least I think that's what the song is called, might be wrong. 
 
 Is this the last take, or were you thinking of maybe playing with the structure a bit? It sounds good as it is, just curious if this is as far as you intend to take it.

I like the vibe the missing drums add some tension, nice
