Nice... I've heard this progression before... the melody is swimming around in my head now, but I have no memory of the lyrics or artist... this will bother me for the rest of the day... Thanks Rik... BTW, that was a lovely performance and recording... you must be happy with your new Mic?

Hi John, thanks, very poëtic. Hi Herb, thanks for putting Frank out of his misery ; ) Hi Frank, don't thank me, I didn't know what I was playing. New guitar and mic do produce a nice sound together. Lets not forget the stellar vocal performance of the wonderful, part Dutch, Dick van Dyke to whom I'd like to dedicate this ; ) Rik

I'd copyright it quick before anyone steals the idea..... I was a kid when that movie came out and have watched it more than a few times with my daughters when they were younger...... I know and remember way to many of the lyrics.....and the melody is one of those that kinda sticks with you for a while and drives you a bit batty...... that Super-cali song is the worst offender ever....and yes..the sound of it is something quite atrocious...

Dick van Dyke? Does Laura Petrie know about this? As usual, your stellar playing and production shine. You produce so much music that I hope you're getting enough sunlight to produce some vitamin D. Well done.

Hi Herb, this most have lodged itself somewhere deep in the back of my mind, waiting for a chance to get out ; ) Hy Daryl, thanks, not enough bass ? ; ) Hi lynn, seems I've been playing "chim chimney"from Mary Poppins as sung so beautifully by that well known Dutch cockney, Dick van Dyke ; ) FYI, have been out in the Sun today ; ) Rik

Drums were a little too far back too. :-) Beautifully don Rik. Very clean. Well played and recorded. If you changed the rhythm a tad it could also be "Time In A Bottle" by Croce. Just the first few chords.

Hi Warren ,thanks, I'll make the drums 0.01 dB louder ; ) So much for originality, eh : ) You might want to listen to the tremolo version, that's completely differnt. Rik

Yeah, I watched the other one. As far as originality, you can't play anything that hasn't been played before. Everything sounds like something, until it doesn't. Whatever can be written has been written. A very successful player and writer told me that once. Your originality is still intact, buddy. It only starts with a hint of those other songs. Keep pickin' and writing. Every forum needs some classical pickers. You are a good one!
