I believe this is a much improved mix. It's not perfect and I'm still learning, but I'm happy with it.
The guitars are S-gear, The bass is Amplitube, The drums are EZD2 and AD2 and there's a bit of EZkeys in there too.
Thanks for your insight and suggestions, I believe the Cakewalk forum has been a huge resource on this one.

    Hi Clint,

I am not familiar with your earlier mix... Must have been a couple of months ago  (before I starting pestering peeps to listen to my tunes).

This is great stuff though... Great playing, and everything is nicely balanced. Nice tones there with S-Gear.

    cheers

I remember liking and commenting on the previous version.
This mix sounds tight and punchy....and I still like the tune a lot.

Great job... tight punchy mix and excellent fretwork.  I personally would have liked to have heard just a little bit more of those fine guitar tones, but that could be a matter of taste.

    Clint,

I like what you have done with the drums, percussion and overall mix.   It is a huge improvement from memory.   Not sure about the little percussion breakdown at around 2:38, seems like something isn't quite right either rhythmically or with the congas/bongos???  The timbale and drum fill coming out of that section are perfect as is the rest of the tune.   Will have to have another listen later.  Great work.

    Regards

Thanks for the positive comments everyone. The drums and percussion are a combination of EZD2 (The Modern DW and Latin percussion) and AD2 (Fairfax Vol.1 and Session Percussion). The Drum part was played by my friend Randy Teadway while the percussion parts are me playing around with midi files.

Nice playing, Clint and a very nice groove to the track. Bass part and tone also works well.

    Cheers.

Nice work! I like the mix and also agree with the percussion break comment. It fits but I think it dominates the mix to much.

Thanks. More thought went into that than you might think. I understand the view, but I'm happy with it. I did use an audio editor to drop that entire percussion break a few dbs to make more of a dynamic impact. I appreciate you taking the time to give your opinion on it. I truly do.
