"Waiting For Love"

The news reflects a lot of lost people who seem, in their life, to be still "Waiting For Love". Violence and hate seem to be their norm and dysfunction is their everyday lifestyle. Maybe they grew up in a deviant and dysfunctional home and childhood surrounding and so they don't know any better. They may have lacked the parental love that every child on the planet deserves, but many never get, based on their environment in which they grew up in.

This piece I have been working on for awhile now and seems to reflect this lack of a loving relationship and their cry of "Waiting for Love". I do hope you will enjoy how I put this arrangement together and the message I am trying to convey through it. It may even reflect some of our emotions that we deal with from time to time, and for some on a daily basis. There is much pain and suffering in this world, but love fulfills all things.

As usual, all comments are always welcomed. Enjoy!

John, this is a beautiful song.  This has a melody that's worth writing lyrics for.  Regardless, I give you much credit for reaching out to people and trying to better their lives.

    Lynn,

Thanks for listening and for your comments, they are always important to me. As for trying to better peoples lives, I can't do that for anyone, I can only hopefully point them to the door, they have to open it themselves, and there is no credit there for me, but there is One who gets all the credit when the door is opened. But, thank you for you most gracious thoughts, I'm good and pleased to serve.

There is a lot of pain that people inflict that sometimes they don't even realize at the time. It is important to reflect, especially in stressful situations and ask yourself if you said and did the right things, and if not to try to go back and make them right if possible and ask forgiveness. I like the guitar sounds in this, and the concept, and the fretless bass. Nothing seems overdone, it all seems to fit together nicely. I think your best to date.

Robbie, Thanks for listening and for your comments, they are always welcomed and appreciated, good and bad. We all have faults, especially me, but this is a forum where people can get together and share their musical experiences, live or sampled and enjoy each others creativity and get and give advice, based on what they are hearing and their experiences. So, again, thank you.

Wow John this is really well done. I can tell you spent some time in adding the various different elements into it.Everything fits in well. I like the way you wove the piano and guitars together. If you feel a message in the song hopefully someone will get that message, as for the music, it is really nice.

    Hi, John,

Excellent songwriting and performance on this beautiful instrumental!

I love the sound of the acoustic guitar, the haunting piano melodies, and the percussion fits perfectly as icing on the tasty cake!   The mix sounds stellar.

Very nice work, my friend, best wishes!

Bob, Thanks for taking the time to listen and for commenting on this piece. Glad you enjoyed it. It was a good piece to construct and properly mix to give it a quality sound. I guess I chose the right samples and loops for this one. I only preformed the mouse on this one. but thanks for thinking that I preformed on this musically myself.

The music is nice.  I kept waiting for the words to begin.  Silly me!  There are none I guess.  I have given a lot of thought on the children who get no love.  We just had our 6th grandchild and his brother (3years old) has so much stuff, including a family full of love that I know so many don't have.  I get a bit in a funk when I think of children who don't have even a small piece of what our kids have.  There should be a law that ALL children are required by the government to have love.  Why not?  They push themselves (govt) into the rest of our life!   Ahhhh, well, the song was pretty but it got a bit repetitive for me.  Nice job on the mix and music composition.

I would say usual human dysfunctions usually stem from a poor child hood environment whatever that may be.

This is very well produced, kept interest for a non-vocal track. The mood does certainly seem to emulate a mood of in "no mans land in wait of something".

Cymbals although in the right places stuck out to be pretty fake at times if you want someone to nitpick.

Great.  Usually I'm loathe to describe emotion to music (as opposed to songs), but this is quite evocative.  Great writing - and sometimes we don't need no stinking words.

Production and arrangement first class.  One can hear everything and everything seems to have a place.  My only question is the bongo/perc track panned so far to the left.  I understand balancing the piano part (nicely played, that), but personally I would have centered it a bit more.  Or maybe it is just listening on these computer speakers.  The right channel is back against a wall, while the left is placed right before an open corner - unless you count the snake cage.

One final thought - the end kind of fizzles instead of sizzles.  But I'm nitpicking and looking for things since it is such a beautiful piece.  And I don't ususally appreciate "pretty" music, tho I'm getting better.

This is really nice. IMHO, I think it needs melody. As it is it could be interlude music for cinema where scenes play out.

Cain, Thanks for listening and for the comments, always appreciated. The cymbals are fake, they're samples. The guitars are fake too. Everything is samples and loops. Just having fun.

It should be automatic but is far from it for many kids. The breakdown of the family and values is one of the reasons for our decline in the world.  That breakdown leads to all of the other junk.  Enough from me.  You touched my heart, obviously.  As far as the gov't, that was tongue in cheek.  I think they should fix the roads and protect our nation and that would do it for me.  We'll handle the rest!    Peace and blessings to you also!

John, this is a very beautiful piece. You do great work sir. And thank you for being a bold witness in this forum. My witnessing tends to be in the lyrics of my songs(obviously not the silly ones), but you lay it right out there every day in this forum. Just wanted you to know that I really look up to you for that. Keep those great arrangements coming!

AT, Thanks for listening and for your comments. As usual, they are always appreciated. Bongos sound good through my headset and the rest seems balanced or panned where I have placed them. Words are nice in songs that require words, in my case, I like to let the music sing the song, this way I get in less trouble. I have found that when I convey a small message, then the listener can take that message to what ever heights they want to. It can be shallow or it can reach new heights, all depends on the listener. Also, remember, I do these pieces with some kind of video in mind, like a vision of what I think it should be on the screen. You might see something different, and that's a good thing. My music creations can have many visions and it is always adjustable through editing. As for the cymbals, yes, sizzle, fizzle, there's most likely some drizzle in there too. Thanks again for the listen and glad you enjoyed.
