"error in Sonar startup in cjlibrary.dll"

Any one know anything about this. I can't get SONAR to run anymore. After it completes the plugin scan it just disappears showing an error in this cjlibrary.dll.

In frustration I've tried system restore to various points in the past with no luck. Even tried to a complete re-install including deleting the various registry entries for SONAR 7PE but nothing seems to work.

HELP! I've sent an email to tech support with a copy of the error file which is generated so I wait with baited breath for a response.

Are you positive the scan has ended? I'd try temporarily renaming my VstPlugin folders to rule out a problem while the vst scan is running.

    LOL@Frank

Mike, I see that file in my Sonar folder, C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\SONAR 6 Producer Edition\CJLibrary.dll, so forget what I said. MFC components are over my head.

I did a more comprehensive delete of the Cakewalk Registry entries and this time the re-install worked properly and all is fixed. I think it was something in the VST scan on start-up that was the culprit because I deleted the VST inventory hive and as I said. All is OK now.

Goes to show you really have to dig deep in the registry to delete SONAR.

You'd think the uninstaller would really take care of it for you because as it stands it realy doesn't uninstall SONAR to a degree where you can successfully re-install the program.
