"ich höre dir nicht zu" - alternative rock song

dear sonar enthusiasts, this is a new song I have finished just today...the lyrics are German, for those whoses German language skills got a little rusted in: this song is about the situation when you go out to a party or bar, speaking to a person who is just talking about him/herself, and you are thinking: what the heck am I doing here? I could be at home working on that guitar track right now... for those who think this sounds familiar: here's the song ;-) any comments, rants or love songs, are welcome are they ever are! https://soundcloud.com/sp...att-ich-h-re-dir-nicht

well, dear enthusiasts, please excuse my horrible first master. I have fixed it now. and thanks for not ripping me apart online - I must believe the ones who have checked it out, must have shaked their heads in horror, but were too polite to let it out! you are a gentle bunch, and I want to thank you for that. my excuse, if there is any, is that my favorite football team get qualified for the euro league yesterday...I should not master when I get overexcited and enjoy too much of that German beer ;-) https://soundcloud.com/sp...att-ich-h-re-dir-nicht

Yesterday I shredded guitar using your song as a backing track. Verse chord progression is a nice trip outside the normal minor scale. Lyrics: my German is too rusty to follow it adequately but German always sounds funny because there are so many consonants in words. :)

Dear panup, you played guitar to my track? I am honored and blessed! You are right, German is indeed a tricky language, and does not easily fit to Rock'n'roll like English does. But we still try ;-)

Finnish is also not as good language to sing as English. German can sound very cool... When Rammstein states "Mein Herz brennt", I believe!

When the Rammstein singer states anything, I believe - or he will kick my ass ;-)

Dear Herb, thanks a lot! This is a good advise: just ignore the words, let the music do the talking ;-)

    Sounds great.

The only german I can remember from my lessons is the oh, so useful..."Ich habe ein gummibaum in der badezimmer", so you / he could be singing paulo is a chump for all I know, but it still sounds great. ;)

Track sounds good to me. Obviously the language makes things a bit difficult for me , but it is well done for sure.

Dear Paulo, dear Ironsack, thanks a lot for the listen and the kind words. And Paulo, maybe I should use your phrase with my next song to give you an "a-ha"-moment ;-) By the way, I have mastered this using Ozone 5 demo version, I think I should buy this. Could anyone of you recommend / or not recommend Ozone? Thanks!

If you write that song, I shall also expect a co-writer credit  ! ;)

I've never regretted buying O5. Can't see that Advanced version is worth the big money though.

speedtom, sounds great. Really liked the guitar tone and the lead. Being sung in German didn't affect the feeling one way or the other.
