What's the deal with bats? Isn't that what drug dealers and pimps use to bash in the heads of the people they don't like? Or do you mean the flying kind? Either way it's a gorgeous production.

"Bat's Brew", is a song about my favorite hot sauce. it's got nothing to do with bats, per se, it is the name of the sauce, made in transylvania louisiana, home of another famous hot sauce.... the picture on the bottle, tells the entire story complete.

Well, your song is one of the best things I've heard in ages. It does sort of..lose focus around 3 minutes. Not as much lose focus as loose it's shininess; everything before that is pure genius. Remember, the millennials have VERY short attention spans.

Just brilliant. That main riff up to about 1:20 gives me goosebumps! Can't hear anything that needs remixing here, sounds fantastic to me.

hey james, thanks for listening! you know, that 'main riff', was just a little fun riff i used for years, to try out new guitars off the wall... it was a riff that, IF the guitar was up to it, would just spank right out... 75% of the guitars i've ever played, would not let me play that riff correctly, for some reason. it's so simple, but seems to test an electric guitar in every way that is important to me, acoustically and electronically. weird, i know.

Great job bat. Killer song, playing and production. Vocals are sooooo good. Love the lead. Drums were played really spot on. I wish they had a slight touch of room sound. Guitars have some ambience but the drums sound dry. No biggy. This is a good one - one of my favorites from you.

Nice... Loved the main riff/groove - cool and slinky, and maybe just a little sleazy. Actually reminded me a little of Vai. Guitars are kickin' as always, and the bass and drums fill the middle nicely. About the only nit I could pick is maybe just a little more width on those vocal harmonies. You know, to balance those wide and chunky guitars.

thanks rimshot, for listening and commenting. when i remix these, i'll be focusing on a much more aggressive drum sound, based on mix decisions....... and maybe some effects. the guitars were recorded in a big room.. with a lot of room bleed on them. the drums were done in a really tight quiet studio room, and have very little ambience, other than tight room sound, on them. i'll play around with the overheads, and see if i can add some ambience to them

Great production! I love the dry background guitar sound together with the solo guitar - tasty. I hear some Jon Anderson (Yes) and I think it is because of the harmonies more than the high pitch. Lovely!

Outstanding Bats!!! I am one of those types that do not enjoy getting hurt (pain) by spicy, hot foods but I absoflippinlutely love this spicy, hot number. Great production and great performance. I have commented before on how some of your numbers have a bit of a Yes feel to them (to me that is a good thing). I am glad that at least one other person (above) notices that as well. Brilliant!
