I always like your acoustic/electric blends Rob, this is fine example.

Love the acoustic blend in the beginning. I might turn them down just a bit. The guitar is pretty loud as well but I think you wanted that so that's cool. Great progressive metal. Great playing as well! Tom.

hey tcolton, appreciate the comments..... yea, i wanted the guitar loud at the beginning, i wanted it to match the intensity of the electrics, vs a typical mix where the acoustics are doing a 'mellower' thing, followed by bombast..... i think i could have done the whole thing with just acoustics.....and it would have conveyed the same idea... but i like electric!! LOL i would never characterize what i do as 'metal'.....

Nice... I don't remember this one either, but it was really good. The mix of acoustic and full-on rockin', along with the chord progression in the second half of the verses, reminded me a bit of Extreme.

he steve! thanks for listening.... extreme, i guess i could hear that, i really try not to channel ANYONE when i'm doing my own stuff, it's stuff i've had in my head well before extreme was around, so i tend to go WAY BACK when i do channel stuff... glad you dig this one!
