rapture for kicks..?

is rapture a good synth for kickdrums..
and any ideas or pointers on how to make good punchy kickdrums.. mostly trance style,, :)

    Do you own Rob Papen's 'Predator'? That should be a 'must' for someone making Trance music. It has a couple of good kick sounds - (Its NOT a very big selection, but what you get is good).

    However, there are hundreds of great patches/sequences on it for trance music.

    Good use of EQ can bring a kick through a mix, as can the use of sidechaining.

    P.s - I'm sorry but i do not own Rapture. Thinking of getting it though.
