rapture not recognizing pitch bend sensativity rpn

Hi,
I am trying to work on some music, and one thing I need to do is bend a note quite a bit. Sonar (or maybe my keyboard) has a default pitch bend sensativity of two semitones, so I went into the midi track for rapture, and inserted an rpn message for pitch bend sensativity of 6144 (which should be like 48 semitones or something). However, the range of my pitch wheel still is two semitones. I've tested this with tts1, so I know this should work if the synth supports it, and I'm assuming as rpn is standard it should, but for some reason rapture won't listen to it. I've already played back the track (currently with just that rpn in it) to make sure that rapture got the message, but no dice.
Any help is appreciated.

    Pitch bend is controlled per element using the Bend Dn/Up setting

    Hi,
    Thanks. I was hoping this wouldn't be the case, as I am blind so use a screen reader called jaws for windows to access my computer, and the scripts developed for it for rapture are not very complete as of the moment, but I guess it is what it is.

    Rapture doesn't support RPN or NRPN messages.  If you want to increase the pitchbend range, go to Bend Dn/Up in the upper-left Multisample section.  The default is +/- 2 semitones, which you can increase independently to 24 semitones.
     
    If you need more pitchbend range than that, set Bend Dn/Up to 0/0.  For extreme pitchbending, you'll get a much smoother response / resolution by changing Quality from Std to Hi in the same Multisample section.  Open up the Modulation Matrix, and add a routing such:
     
    Source:  Pitch Bend
    Destination: Pitch 1 (All)
    Depth: 4800 (cents)
    Smooth:  (to taste)
     
    That will get you 4 octaves of pitchbend in either direction.  The values in the Modulation Matrix and Bend Dn/Up are additive, so increasing Bend Dn/Up to 24/24 will give you 6 octaves of pitchbend in either direction (in conjunction with the Modulation Matrix slot above).
     
    For a unique, multidirectional twist on pitch bending, enable Multi with 3V - 9V (number of detuned voices).  Set the Detune from 0 (no detuning, but spread, panned multiple voices) to 100 (a semitone spread in the designated voice quantity).  Then change the Modulation Matrix entry to:
     
    Source:  Pitch Bend
    Destination: Detune 1 (All)
    Depth: 4800 (cents)
    Smooth:  (40.0, as a clear example of the slewing)

    Rapture actually does have its own nrpns for pitch bend ranges.  they correspond to each element in rapture.  
    if you're on a midi track insert controller for nrpns called bend down 01 through bend down 06.  Then, you will want to insert nrpn controllers for the type bend up 01 through bend up 06.  These will allow you to adjust the pitch bend ranges of each element in rapture.
