ok i makeing music for my lyrics and singing. But when i make my beats some the chordes drums etc. Will hit on the down beat and sometimes ms off. When i play back my song though you cant tell if it ms off beat unless you play the metronome with it.

I like to drag and drop my beats and then I sing some words. And then it's a good song. I'm going to be on a CD soon. With the drag and drop, the beats will match with the metronome very good.

OK that makes sense..... you can click on the MIDI track and right click it. In the drop down select the quantise option..... that will lock the notes to the closed beat, depending on the resoultion and fudge factor you select.

To much quantize and the song sounds robotic, not like a normal song.

Nobody on earth can hear 1 ms off-time, so no worry there.

If you actually talk about a disturbing latency, as I believe you are, it might be you need a better soundcard. But I can't say cause you give no info. With 4 years on the forum and over 200 posts, I'm sure you know how to ask a question with all the necessary information attached.

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.

If you can see it but can't hear it, I wouldn't worry too much about it.  This isn't visual art, but aural - tho maybe not "art" in my case ;-)

    Timidi, you funny.
