recovering INS files

Hi Guys...

I've just replaced my PC DAW and in the process of re-installing all the INS files on the new machine. However, I can no longer find a download for the Roland XV5050 anywhere on the internet. As they are still installed somewhere on the old PC is there a way of locating them and saving to a flash drive to re-install on the new PC?

Where about are they kept on the HDD??

Thanks for the link scook, but I've already been there and the XV505 is not included. I really need to see if there is a way to "extract" it from the old PC. Or find a new link for the XV5050 INS file

You could copy the Master.ins from your old machine and use it on your new machine. The Master.ins is in your home directory where the other config files like AUD.ini are stored.

Is this it? The header says it is for a Roland XV-5050

Scook and jkimmyjoebobalooba you guys are the business!!
Dunno how or where you found them, but that's exactly what I needed. Can't thank you enough. Moving DAWs has become a real challenge, but I hope the pain is going to be worth it.
    Thanks a millikon guys..

No real magic, it was the seventh hit on Google search for "Roland XV 5050 instrument definition"

Anyway, glad you are back up.

    Hi scook...

I spent about 2 1/2 hours on the internet doing just that without success. I'm in the UK and you're in Texas and whilst it shouldn't make any difference, it does leave me wondering...
