renaming AUD.INI

I've read a couple of threads that say deleting or renaming AUD.INI solves some audio issues in Windows 10.   I've done Google searches on how to delete or rename AUD.INI, and there is nothing that explains how to do it.

Can anyone tell me exactly how to do it in Windows 10?

Thanks!
Greg

    Type
    %AppData%\Cakewalk\SONAR Platinum
in the Windows Explorer path or Search Windows entry to find the folder containing Aud.ini
Renaming the file causes SONAR to restore the original file the next time the program is run. Renaming instead of deleting the file makes it easier to restore the old ini file.

I always make a back up. I've never needed it but its always a good idea anyway.
Steve laid out the steps brilliantly, as usual.

I didn't even think of backing it up.   It seems to be fine, though.

    Thanks, Chuck!
