response time emails?
Sent a message 3 plus days ago cause i cannot get on their email list and might want to spend some money on upgrading to Producer. You would think they would want my money..... I'd did get the canned "received your email" response. Any idea if they will ever respond? Thanks.

From my experience, 2 days onward, to about a week, mostly, but depends on where you send to (for example, there is no reply from feature request, etc..). Once there is no reply after a week and I had to give them a call.

What you are saying is that you are a registered Sonar X1 user and you do not receive regular emails regarding specials and other Cakewalk Store correspondence?

Yep. I have been purchasing Cakewalk since the DOS 3.1 days, BEFORE audio. I stopped getting emails a couple of years ago and have tried on and off to get on the list. Never seems to happen. I am assuming that the upgrade to Producer is a limited time offer, maybe end of May? I would have thought they at least screened emails for potential dollars........ I do have time or the inclination to sit on a phone waiting to talk to someone as it is not technical support I need.

Both times I called the general support line I was talking to someone within two minutes. Tech took a little longer.

Another odd thing, now that you made me wonder about registration etc. It show that I am registered for X1 with the serial number(which matches my product on my computer) but my order history does not show that I purchased X1, but I did, through Cakewalk. It also has DOWNLOAD next to the Registered product(as if I haven't downloaded it?) but of course I have as it is running on my computer with the little "legit" on the splash screen. Weird. Still you think they would respond, as I gave them the serial number etc.

That is probably there in case you need to reinstall for any reason because you don't have the discs.

I just got a response from a Cakewalk customer service rep for a request I sent over 40 days ago, telling me I couldn't do what I'd already done weeks ago with the help of phone support. So basically, if you want to get anything done, I highly suggest giving them a call directly. Allow me to add, other than this bizarre response, I've had great success dealing with Cakewalk (especially tech support). I'm a loyal fan. But there is always room for improvement...

Andrew sent me the link. Nice of him. still undecided about upgrading to producer.i have dimension pro don't need any more drum software and have Waves gold and uad plugs. Not sure pro channel alone is worth it.

I think Pro Channel is supposed to be the main benefit of Producer. The rest is kind of window dressing. I may be wrong though. It is however one of the main reasons I bought it.

well that is something you will have to contemplate(upgrading) but i will say this, its the best daw ive ever used and when i say best daw,i mean producer, not studio, not essentials.producer. check out the comparasing on the cakewalk web page. iots not just demention pro.
