reverb envelope not producing reverb

Hi pals,

I have a drum track where in one portion of the composition I want reverb.  So I switched from Clips to Automation, selected the reverb envelope, and "raised" the envelope line in the track view pretty high - but no reverb.  Any thoughts?

    Is this an audio track with a reverb fx plug-in added? And if so, are you automating the reverb mix (or wet) parameter?

    Another way to quickly add reverb to just a part of an audio track is to split that part into a separate clip and then just add the reverb effect to that single clip.

    Yea, I'm not sure which reverb "envelope" you are using.  You could use input vol, wet/dry/, or output depending upon how you have the reverb set up.  Another easy way is to set the reverb on a send and control the send vol. for that track.  I do that for some reverb/echo where I only want the last phrase or a vocal word to ring out.

    The most common way to automate reverb level is to route your track to a bus, put the reverb on the bus set to 100% wet, and then add a volume envelope to the bus.


    All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

    im guessing youre talking about a midi track for drums where the reverb envelope for midi was shown. the problem is unless the synth you are using is specifically pprogrammed to produce reverb and reeact to the midi spec control for reverb the envelope has no effect. the tts1 does do this and responds to all gm cc mappings. if its something like session drummer you will need to add a reverb module in the fx bin as stated above. oh and same thing goes for midi panning and pretty much everything except volume.
