rewire into sonar 64 bit

I found this possible workaround today for getting reason rewired to sonar 64.  Has anyone tried this?  Did it work?

Great news! This is an inexpensive workaround, and so far no problems. The only real limitation is you can only run one instance of Reason, but that's usually what i run anyways. So here's the workaround!

1--running 64 bit S1

2--if you haven't already, get jbridge...it's cheap and works great for handling 32 bit plugins/ instruments in 64 bit S1, or vice verse. Follow the instructions on how to make it work.

3--Get xt ReWire VST adapter here: http://www.energy-xt.com/index.php?id=0115

4--Jbridge the VST like you did the other plugins.

5--Here's where I was hung up. The rewire won't show up as an instrument in S1. It shows up us and effect. So you have to click the "Effects" tab, not the instrument one. Just scroll down till you see "Rewrie_VST.64", and drag/ drop it onto a track.

yes that is a solution of sorts .. it's been around a while.

BUT I'm paying props to keep their "stuff" updated NOT a 3rd party.. in fact I refuse to pay because they have been to lazy.

sooner they get it sorted instead of trying to flog me new products the better , many users across many DAW's are fed up with how they are acting... the same people that are funding their work / paying their wages.. it's long overdue..

I only got record because it was cheap with the reason update, rarely gets used as I like my VST's too much.

Basically what I was thinking.  Don't really want to pay for a workaround.  Went to props forum to check on 64 bit rewire the other day and after getting jumped by all the fanboys who argued to no end the fact rewire is no longer needed now that record is available.  Finally someone offered this work around but it seems like a PIA that I also have to pay for.  Really dissapointed in props for not getting 64bit rewire out there....

put it up on their forum and you get a load of fan boys who don't even use a DAW / vst's shouting you down...

i tried that hhmm 6-10 months ago.. it was funny as it shows what products you own, so they know I'd not turned up yesterday.

I suggest you send and anyone else send them an email about it..

props will have to fix it.. or discontinue.. or supersede it.. either way they have taken YEARS too late to fix it... so much so, a lot of my friends moved to another sequencer.

They are basically digging their own grave.  I will not be updating my products till there is 64bit rewire.  I didn't even install reason on my new build..........
