rock instrumental - "Galactic Meltdown"

https://soundcloud.com/bats-brew/intergalactic-meltdown-1

hi folk,
this is a demo of a rock instrumental i'm working up.....
i might add a vocal section in the middle

i've got a bunch of ideas going on at once in some cases,
i'm planning on using the strongest melody ideas to continue....

wanted to see what you thought of it.

sounds real cool in the cans, but crank it thru the speakers,
lightly mastered.

To be honest I think I would enjoy any guitar shreddage you put up. The only thing that jumps out at me would be around the 2:20/2:30 to the 3:00 mark, the groove seems to get broken slightly before it picks up again.

    Nice one.

I think the musicianship is really good on this.

At the beginning the mix seems chaotic though--a lot going on. If that's what you're going for, that's cool. But I liked it better after about 1:30 in...it seems like the music is more coherent to me after that point.

    heheh,
    sounds like i'm making cabbage.
    with chipotle mayonaise!
    LOL
that change up in the timing there, is on purpose...
this is a mad dash out of a galaxy that is imploding, after all!!

so, there are time shifts, wormholes, changes of directions, all at the speed of light!
so yea, it's supposed to be a little weird!!

    hey man, thanks for listening

    hey jarvis!

thanks for listening, and for the questions...

here's the rig for this tune:

its a mesa boogie MKIIb 60 watt head...
several different cabs with celestion drivers...
the strat is a USACG custom build, with bill lawrence Wilde pickups, alder body, maple and pau ferro neck.
    assorted pedals.
each of the tracks were capture using both a mic and a direct line (palmer PDI-09).
    either blended or hard panned.
two rhythm tracks and two lead tracks, equals 8 guitar tracks total, but only 4 performances, if that makes sense.
