roland handsonic 10

Just purchased a handsonic 10 as I thought it would assist with percussion sound generation. Its connected via midi and if i record a track it records the midi events. How do I ensure on playback that the instruments are the same? I have studi instruments and if i use it as a program some of the drums beat but the sounds are different. help would be appreciated.
