Or using P5's midi learn function. Or even better - a combination of the two. A template is someone else taking the time to do this.

RE: Midi learn features (delineator)

what do u mean create your own? I know in sonar I have edited some of the MCU settings like the Dyn, and EQ buttons.

RE: Midi learn features (DayDrumFour)

I wouldn't say they half-assed the control surface features, but they sure did half-ass the control surface <i>presets</i>. You just have to take the time to create your own. I don't have a Mackie MCU, but there is a growing list of popular gear that lack available presets. Maybe Cakewalk's not the only one to blame. M-Audio's website has templates for software I'd never want to use. Manufacturers share some of the blame.

RE: Midi learn features (delineator)

Yeah but its not as expandable as bomes midi translator. They really half assed the control surface features on Project5. Like another thing I dont like is sometimes I dont need all the outs to appear on my Mackie MCu, its confusing and its clutter up my channels.

RE: Midi learn features (DayDrumFour)

Loop on/off is in ACT. You could just map a button to it that way

RE: Midi learn features (delineator)

okay I found out a way to map keystrokes to your midi surface controller. I was watching youtube and a guy suggested getting Bomes midi translator where they are infinite possibilities to mapping keystrokes. SO far, I mapped the loop on/off keystroke in Project5 to my loop on/off button on my mackie MCU and it works perfect. I will be doing lots more...hehehehhe. the demos good I will buy this joint manana!!

Midi learn features (delineator)

Okay I have a complaint about P5 with mackie MCU and C4. how come you cannot set the loop buttons to a midi function. Also, howcome you cannot have more than one template, I think this is stupid when I know you can do this with ableton live. So, I have one ? to ask will they be upgrading their midi features anytime soon?
