I have Core 2 Duo (Pentium 4) processors running on my computer at 2.13 GHz with 1 Gig of RAM. I have an Alesis IO/14 firewire coundcard, but I am using a separate Yamaha UX16 MIDI card (I like it).

Here's my problem: I loaded up a click track loop (100% quantized) for a new song as a reference. The first thing I recorded was a MIDI keyboard part. The timing on the MIDI keyboard track is decent, but it looks (on the screen) like it is almost a 16th note behind the audio click track (bpm = 107). When I slide the whole click track faster in time to sync it up with the audio graphic (I am using the downbeat of a measure as a reference, then the MIDI part appears to be sync graphically -- but then it sounds too ahead of the beat.

I think the issue is in Cakewalk -- not anything else. Why would it "sound" one way and "appear" another. When I used the MIDI track to generate audio and record, the recorded audio graphic appears to be cloe to the correct time.

WAZ UP???

RE: SONAR FAQ (DW_Mike)

ORIGINAL: boomblaszy

I need some serious sonar6 7 reason rewire 101....it's bad enuff i coming straight for sonar 1.0!!!!
please help?

Try this. http://www.cakewalk.com/Tips/April03_AndertonPt1.asp

Mike

RE: SONAR FAQ (boomblaszy)

I need some serious sonar6 7 reason rewire 101....it's bad enuff i coming straight for sonar 1.0!!!!
please help?

RE: SONAR FAQ (Jose7822)

Bump!

RE: SONAR FAQ (CJaysMusic)

ORIGINAL: SlammyD

<img src="http://forum.cakewalk.com/upfiles/smiley/s13.gif" alt="" data-smiley="" /> I currently have a copy (my Friends) of Sonar 2XL installed on my pc.
