I don't know why anyone would buy something when it's free. Instructions on how to install are in the same thread.

Good luck.

PS, maybe I'm crazy, but when I installed 6 and 7, there was an MP3 export function available. At least in MY version!! Perhaps it was dumb luck because I found out I couldn't export MP3's when I was listening to an MP3 I just exported . . .

RE: MP3 Encoder (Jesse G)

Then re-install the encoder and it should work again. Did you at anytime re-install Sonar?

If you purchased the encoder, then you should have the encoder software to re-install it.

Peace <img src="http://forum.cakewalk.com/upfiles/smiley/s3.gif" alt="" data-smiley="" />

RE: MP3 Encoder (DaveT)

I bought the MP3 encoder update for Sonar 6P off of the Cakewalk store in December. Or see the thread here. If you haven't purchased the Cakewalk encoder, it's not that expensive, and it works well. LAME is an alternative (see the above link).

MP3 Encoder (surfnorthwest)

I have Cakewalk SONAR Producer 6.0 and today I went to export a track I recorded and it is asking me to update or purchase a encoder.
