it's a bank cd for a brand that i cannot tell , but yeah , it's not samples but originaly made track s ....so you're right it's like a construction kit as you see cause i makin it ;) so you got an exclu here !!

will do a special price for sonar user ok !!;)

on the more serious side i'm thinkin about introducing some in beatscape format or session drummer , dimension .....gotta see with the folks ....

Are you making a sample CD or did you load a sample CD into Sonar? It looks like sample kits. House construction kits or something. Not actual songs.

just some explanations :

this a real sound designing job i'm doing , each songs contains as you can see loops (4 or 8 bars) and sounds solo , of course each songs has it's proper audio files , so i idn't just cloned one song 27 times !!

for the disk usage , well with nowdayz hdd in a good optimized system reading is smoother than never , writtin is more critical , reading and writin more.....so the disk usage don't surprise me ....

to be able to play it i archived 178 tracks so 588 -178 = 410

so the 178 tracks archived to be able to play without glitches ....for a total of 410 playin!!

sorry for being late to answer cause Company of heroes crazy party !!

so xp pro 32 4 gb of ram loop and play of course , as i mention no plugins except a limiter , each folder contain a whole song !!

so i repeat playback on , loop on disk read cache anable , usb hdd 5400 rpm wd 500gb!!!

processor 2.4ghz (7700) hp 8710w

You mean because of the amount of RAM available to Sonar? Or disk caching? Or?

PS: You do realise it is only about 127 MB of data? And that is being generous as not all tracks have samples/loops that fill the full 4 beat length of the playback loop.

No no. The play button is engaged and the CPU is running. (And Zo mentions only one limiter plugin). :)

jus to be on the same boat as Robins's video , i'm workin on some sound design for a brand and doing it on my laptop , just a limiter on a bus but 27 folders with a total of 588 tracks !!!

had to archive some folder to get 400 tracks running at 512 latency without a glicthes in loop mode !!

Disk usage 5%? So it is (nearly) all in ram?
