I just bought HS 7XL And I like it, i cant wait to become more familiar w it! I use the USB "Mobile-pre" audio interface with my laptop (vista OS, 2G RAM, mobile pre interface for sound card, with the cpu's internal SC disabled).

My Problem: I cannot seem to get any audio from my added synth tracks (TTS 1, SI drums, SI bass, ect..) even in the different views (PRV, Sequencer) even when i try to audition the sounds by clicking in the left margin on the instrument names, again, no sound. The track plays, the signal levels are moving..no sound. When i start a new project "normal" the pre-loaded drum TTS1 synth plays fine w sound, but when i try to add one myself... no audio. My acoustic guitar track in the same project works/sounds fine. there is sound, just not w the synth tracks.

I have searched the blogs/help menu's/ other sources. I really think its an input/output/channel problem, but am exhausted re-arranging them in different orders, with no resolution. Any help is greatly appreciated. thank you.

You should really start a new thread for this, as it has nothing to do with the OP.

Re:treating pitch in tracks (daveny5)

drcombden

Hello Guys, I am new to cakewalk/home recording. That should work.

Re:treating pitch in tracks (drcombden)

Hello Guys, I am new to cakewalk/home recording. Thanks. Getting it right in the recording in the first place and practicing more is something I think I can do generally.

Hey Beagle-long time no see... :)

Nice job on your song-"Still." Sounds like your vocals are doing better-either from practice or whatever you may be using..
Re:treating pitch in tracks (bdickens)

1) Practice.
2) Punch-in.
3) If it's not too bad, you can double the part and apply some chorusing. or:
4) Not be as anal about it because some amount of pitch variation can actually really bring a vocal track to life.

Re:treating pitch in tracks (Beagle)

celemony melodyne, IMO.

treating pitch in tracks (fanzzz)

Hey guys,

What is a good way to treat pitch issues-minor ones using SHS? Seemed like this worked better in MC2 than SHS for some reason .

I think there is way to treat it using a bus.

I don't have Antares Autotune or anything else really but what is in Cakewalk's SHS 6 XL. I noticed there are 2 pitch shifting effects in SHS 6 Xl. One comes up when you click directly on the track and one comes up in the effects box or both.

When I tried splitting clips and isolating a spot-usualy the end of a word-it leaves a clip differential or clip start I guess and I hear a pop/click which would make it unbearable and impractical to use in your music. What do you about that or what is a better way to edit using those effects? I noticed it was less noticeable if I split the clips around an entire word or phrase, processed the envelope with pitch shifter about .10 difference-.20 is not that noticeable overall, but can imrove a flat or sharp.

Help!
