A rather large lady was standing in front of them. A beeper in her pocket started beeping loudly. The little boy looks up at his daddy and yells.."Look out dad..... she's backing up!!!!"

Back up is very important. The whole thing is....do it.

Another note..... I think Vista has a built in Restore to factory. I remember using this a time (or two) when I first got my computer. It keeps the factory settings somewhere on the drive, and if you click it.....it asks you several times...ARE YOU SURE?..... it will restore the computer to the way it was when it came out of the box. All applications...everything is gone. And it boots up real fast...... there have been times I have been tempted to do that again......

But yea.... be sure you have a back up and a restore plan in place.
Backing Up / Back Up (Peter Rabbit)

Just a reminder to everyone to back up your work and also your computer.

I just finished making a new set of "complete restore" disks for my computer and I feel safe and sercure now. <img src="http://forum.cakewalk.com/upfiles/smiley/s1.gif" alt="" data-smiley="" />

Not only is it a good idea to back up your Cakewalk projects, but to also make complete restore disks for your computer in case you ever experience one of those unsuspecting crashes or viruses.

Complete restore disks usually come with your computer when it's new that will restore your computer to exactly the way it was when it was new. But remember you've added a lot of software programs and probably a lot of hardware to your computer since it was new. Making a new set of complete restore disks will prevent you from having to install and configure everything again should you encounter a severe problem.

I'm sure there's other software programs out there but I used Paragon software that came with my DAW when I bought it.

Just thought it was worth mentioning. <img src="http://forum.cakewalk.com/upfiles/smiley/s4.gif" alt="" data-smiley="" />

Pete
