I am using Cubase Essential 5 with a low latency M-Audio Card (USB Pro). I find that the LE sounds in general have too much sustain (or reverb?) and that notes can start to "overlap" (I use MIDI tracks generated mostly by Band-in-a Box). When the transport of the DAW is stopped some notes just carry on - particularly acoustic bass notes, or the synth stays on and just "rumbles". Excuse the terminology!

If I use another synth eg TTS-1 the problem disappears. I am not sure how to resolve this? Would upgrading to Dimension Pro improve the ability to tweak the sounds or is the problem somewhere else?. I also find that Digital Sound Factory 1 is far superior to the LE sounds and not as problematic (particularly on the acoustic pianos)

Thank you
