GTP2 - Problem with effects disappearing (bigmuffexpress)

This problem is getting right on my nerves and I was wondering if anyone else experienced this.

I recorded a whole bunch of tracks as normal. I applied a couple of effects to a couple of the tracks. I then saved my work, all proud because it sounded really good. Then, when i next go to open the file, some words to the effect of *We deleted these effects because we think that they didnt exist to start with* appear. Wtf?

Before this, I had recorded hours and hours and hours of tracks with no problem. I have a massive amount of disk space and I dont experience dropouts, or any other error with the audio. Everything was absolutely fine, and then this started happening. Any ideas?

Also, for some reason, the program applies the EQ to tracks 1-14 as a default when i open it, and this started at the same time as the other problem. Help is VERY much appreciated!!
