If you also want recorded data simply enable the 'Write' and 'Read' buttons on the plugin/synth itself. This records automation data onto the plugin track that you can edit.

Cheers,
Max.
Re:trying to get the act to work in plugins (guitartrek)

A quick question - is act the preferred method of controlling plugins? When you record the changes, does it create data somewhere that you can edit manually?

Re:trying to get the act to work in plugins (Sickvision)

thanks susan for your perfect reply worked like a charm.i got a glimps of it at a sonar Vstudio Demo . but didnt catch the right sequence. thanks again

Re:trying to get the act to work in plugins (Susan G)

Hi Americo-

You're toggling the ACT button on/off too many times.

1. Click on the ACT button once to turn on its "Learn" mode
2. Twiddle the controls in your plug-in
3. Twiddle the knobs/faders on your controller
(Note you can make multiple connections in one shot this way. They'll follow the order in which you moved them.)
4. Click on the ACT button to turn off "Learn" mode.

HTH-

-Susan

trying to get the act to work in plugins (Sickvision)

1 click on act
2 when blinking move knob
3 click on act again and move plugin fader or knob
4 then click again and you can control the plugin with the fader to get contol from control surface
If this is wrong please help im not gettin the conection
