Trying EVERY type of format! (amdrecording)

I think I figured it out... I've been converting .mov's - .avi's in Quicktime, which apparently is a no-no. 32-bit Sonar works just fine with these video files! Soooo. if I want to be working in Sonar x64, what program should I use to convert video? Trying EVERY type of format! (amdrecording)

Maybe this problem is specific to my machine, because Sonar used to be MUCH better with video. I never remember having so many problems with video in Sonar!!

I was given an H.264 video file, which used to work with Sonar (back in the 7 days? am I making that up?). I get this message when trying to load:

OK, no prob. So I tried converting it to a format that has always worked for me: DVCPRO .avi. I get the same message! I've also tried JPG2000, and a number of other formats, but nothing seems to work.

Someone please help! Thanks!

-Alex
