The acoustic guitar sounds great as does the entire mix. Outstanding.
................................
Thank you. I hope to achieve quality in the overall concept
of writing and the whole recording process.

  Kcearl
nothing to say on the mix...sounds great...nice performance and a well crafted song

great job all round :)
.............................
Thank you. I try. And I always try to do good so thank
you for that.

  Notnat
Still sounds great but I'd like to here more E Piano, and the guitar sounds panned a little too far right... Cool song...<img src="http://forum.cakewalk.com/upfiles/smiley/s1.gif" alt="" data-smiley="" />
..........................
After reading your remarks I worked on this and
worked on this trying to do what you mention and it
worked. I remixed and made so may changes. I made
the Mp3 ready to re upload. Transferred it from cd to
new the other computer for soundclick.

Compared the last (one you heard) to the new mp3
Dog gone it! it was still a touch right side on the
acoustic and the rhodes lost a bit of sparkle. So
I said the heck with it and did not re upload.

As a wav the things you mentioned worked. Mp3
really destroys imaging. I'll keep trying to find a way
to at least compensate for that somehow though
so thanks so much for the mention of that.

Re:It Might Come True-Remix 11/30 2pm (notnat)

Still sounds great but I'd like to here more E Piano, and the guitar sounds panned a little too far right... Truly a beautiful work of art :-)

You tend to have a little more reverb on your vocal but it seems to work really well giving the overall track a nice ambience.

The guitar level on the left seems a little louder compared to the right, may want to check the levels?
..........................................

Thanks for the comments. After reading your
remarks I went back for a listen and found
that there were things needing working on.
I made some changes and mentioned them in
my edit notes. I'm really glad you mentioned
some things. Thanks

  Daryl
Very pretty tune. I would have liked an intro, as it starts abruptly. Maybe a little sparkle on the vocal mix, a little kick around 7khz.

Reminds me a late 60s, or 70s, Byrds or New Riders' kind of thing.

Very catchy tune Jimmy. You really seem to have found
your groove.

Daryl
.............................................

I did make some changes. I like the mix here,
maybe a tad sterile as you are refining it but everything seems to be blended perfectly. Such a fine job. Really
enjoyed it!
-TAP-
.....................................
I've got 9 tunes that I'm trying to refine for a cd.
I'll be glad when they are done so I can move on to
some different stuff. Thanks for the compliments.

   No How
Another nice job, Jimmy. Mix sounds nice and clean and round
........................................
     Thanks
  Paulo
   Jimmy,

I just listened three times (didn't hear the original) so can't comment on your changes. This is the second of your tunes I've heard lately, so you're obviously in the groove at the moment and you do very well at getting that nice clear sound - far better than me I might add, so it seems like I have no right to comment really, but I just thought that the strings sound in the background was a little too constant and distracts a little from your vocals at times. It sounds good at the beginning and the end. Just a personal opinion though, others better qualified than me may disagree. Anyhow, another good tune - keep it up, you know how it is......when you're hot, you're hot !
................................
   That's a good point about the strings. I couldn't
find a happy medium. It was not enough or maybe
too constant. Good strings are very hard to do well
though. I am giving the strings subject in general
a lot of thought lately so it remains to be seen
what I can come up with when doing string work.
I haven't found a string patch that is really super
either. Not that these strings sound bad it's just
that it could be better but I guess I'll live with it
for now. Thanks for the remarks and compliments.

  James
     Nice
..........................
   Thanks

  Scottytunes
     This sounds delicious!
....................................
      thank you
Re:It Might Come True (Scottytunes)

This sounds delicious!

Re:It Might Come True (SongCraft)

Jimmy, I got your pm although I do prefer you post/reply here :-)

Haven't had a chance to listen to your remix yet but I'm 100% sure it will sound awesome!
