But my first project wouldn't export properly either. It's not as complex as what you guys are doing (74 track! Increasing latencies & buffer sizes seemed to provide a solution but when I tried to export down to a stereo .wav, SONAR didn't want to know, saying there was insufficient memory.

I've got 4Gig on board my 32Bit system without the 3G switch enabled - would this be a good move?

Anyway, after trying all sorts of possible solutions, increasing latency etc to ridiculously high levels, re-profiled my soundcard, booting up not just SONAR but the entire pc, it still wouldn't do an export.

In desperation, I fired up 8.3, loaded the project and it proceeded to export the project without a single complaint.

Interestingly, with the project loaded, 8.3 was using 966Mb of RAM, whilst 8.5 was consuming about 1.2Gig

Also, the settings in 8.3 were at minimal latency - I didn't have to raise it in order to achieve a successful export.

So, has anyone else noticed similar problems with 8.5?

This is, by far, the most complex project I've ever put together - 74 audio tracks, about 110 plugs, 65 V-Vocal instances (all running live), with about a dozen or so busses.

At one point, I started to freeze tracks but even with about 25 frozen, 8.5 still wouldn't let me export.

Any ideas people?
