(Guitarhacker)</title><description> have you run the wave profiler Sarah?&amp;nbsp; Then you do need to select the line in as the input.&amp;nbsp; Those laptops want to select the built in mic as the default&amp;nbsp; but you do have the option to select the line input. I'm not familiar with the Vista windows mixer, but there should be a software mixer in Vista where you can select the input source. check the windows control panel and look up sound. (SarahS)</title><description> Hi!&lt;br&gt;     &amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;     I am really new to any kind of recording and programs!!&lt;br&gt;     &amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;     Here is my situation:&lt;br&gt;     &amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;     I have a Acer aspire laptop on windows vista, I have music Creator 5.&lt;br&gt;     I have a Behringer Eurorack MX602A mixer and a Sure microphone.&lt;br&gt;     &amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;     I have plugged the mic to the mixer and pluged the mixer in to my laptops soundcard jack which has a mic icon next to it.&lt;br&gt;     &amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;     When I try to select the input in the MC program it's coming up with my laptop built in mic. and I'm not sure what to do or if I have even connected this right!&lt;br&gt;     &amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;     &amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;     I'm sure I sound like a complete dumb arse but at the risk of that can someone PLEASE give me some advice/help????&lt;br&gt;     &amp;nbsp;&lt;br&gt;     Sarah&lt;br&gt;</description><link>http://forum.cakewalk.com/rss-m1973193.ashxFindPost/1973193</link><pubDate>Thu, 18 Mar 2010 00:06:24 GMT</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
