I couldn't find anywhere in that site to find out how many calories I burn just sitting here reading Cakewalk forums.

There was a segment on Discovery about this experiment where they wired up a Norwegian death metal band to check for how much energy they output and used while playing a 2 hour concert.

Basically, these guys were as fit as top athletes. The drummer and lead singer/guitar player expended as much energy as a pro footballer (soccer) during a game, with the others a small amount less.

Some "get all shook up" ... The 'King' in his last days ... the drugs and karate ... may have burned up a bit more than usual.

Well, calorie burning while playing music is going to depend on a lot things. Age, type of music, whether the audience is on meth, whether you know you're going to get paid or not, how many times you've done it. 204 seems quite low. I've seen seen some fat boys lose five pounds in a two hour set.

There were a few things I was concerned about "burning"...calories wasn't one of them." /> ...and my calulator was simple...when I was "full" of anything, I stopped. I have to say it worked out Ok for me.
210 minutes got me 1095....now how much did loading, unloading, setting up, teardown, loading and finally unloading burn...sheesh, no wonder I had to stand sideways in the wind.

A checkbox if the player is headbanging or headspinning along with the rate of speed

May I suggest that you could use this calculator to determine how many beers you can have, munchies, etc. and not gain any weight!

I think the music you play has a lot to do with it. Some stuff is more mental than others, and then there is really physical stuff.

Right, Iggy Pop loses that many calories! Sure! ... well, he is not a guitar player, but watching Jimmy Page rain down the stage would suggest that amount is off the counter!

All I can say is I'm completely drenched at the end of the night and it takes me a couple of hours to "come (calm) Down". Then I get hungry and eat somewhere and fall fast asleep.
