it should line up because there is a metronome you can record to, and you can set the tempo to whatever tempo the project is at.

I did some testing of over dubbing a mono vocal I recorded on the SD card and it worked great. Then, I exported the audio from Sonar 8 in stereo to the SD card and it sounded great, however, when I try to overdub with the BG on over the exported audio, I cannot record anything. It sounds like all that is happening is the BG track is bouncing to the new track--but no overdub of vocals I'm trying to record. (Major)

Could it be because I needed to export the Sonar audio in mono?

I did some messing around last night and now I have a couple more questions about the above scenario:

Is there a way to export a Sonar 8 Project directly into the SD card while in the VS-100, or do I always have to use an SD card reader? (Minor)

Lastly, there is a two measure rest before the audio starts on the Sonar project. That is carried over when I export the audio to the SD card. On the VS-100, I placed a marker at the beginning of where the audio starts, and that is where I would like to start recording the overdub, but if I am at the marker, as soon as I press record it starts at 0:00:00 again. Is there a way that I can start recording at the marker and not have to wait two measure each time? (Minor+)

I have multiple instrumental tracks; midi, loops and audio recorded in Sonar 8 Pro on my PC. (24/96)

I put a mix of those Sonar tracks on the VS-100.

I take the VS-100 on location and record vocals as an overdub of the mix I exported from Sonar. (24/96)

I bring the vocals I recorded on the VS-100 back into the project in Sonar on my PC.

= The vocals are now in sync with the original instrument tracks in Sonar 8? After maybe a little nudging? " />

Does anyone see any problem or potential problem with this application of the VS-100 and Sonar 8 PE?
