Only if you went into advanced Installation or custom on the discs and scrolled way down to the end of the list and selected the VS700 components. If the Fantom and everything works with the VS700 and you've done the hardware patch, you're done. If memory serves the Fantom doesn't work without 1.1.1 patch. Does it work?

Thank you but there was no option for a custom install. I wonder if this is because the patch has already been installed?

Did you do a custom install? I think you need to do that and then you'll be able to choose only the V-Studio software to install.

Trouble updating to V-Studio 700 1.1.1. (Mesaholic)

Hi All -

I am puzzled about the proper way to update to V-Studio 700 1.1.1. On the update page, there is this message:

IMPORTANT: If you are using SONAR 8.5 or newer, DO NOT run the software portion of this update. To install the updated VS-700 software components, please launch your SONAR 8.5 Installer and choose "Advanced Installation". On the "Select Components" screen, select the V-Studio Components you wish to install from the bottom of the list. All users should install the SONAR V-Studio 1.1 Firmware Update.

I have already installed 8.5.3. When I re-open that installer, I do not see a VS-700 option under "Select Components". So, is the above operation supposed to be made from the original 8.5 installer? If yes, do I need to run both the 32 and 64 bit installer to perform the operation since I have both versions on my computer?
