Thanks for the reply craig!

Its Dureing playback that I am finding this Error happens for some reason its not actualy happend when I am recording.

I need to be able to hear both instruments being played back at the same time for mixing and also to try differnent efx and check timeing etc.....

I tryed playing playing back the track useing true tone for the piano part with pod farm for my guitar and got this error.
Then playback with true tone, amplitube instead of pod farm.... same error even tryed changeing the true tone piano to the Cake walk TTS1 and swaping amp sims about again but I continue to get this error no matter what plug in I have installed.

So far it only hapens dureing playback and seems ok so far when recording its all a bit strange ;(

Can you think of anything else I could try ?

What is True Tone? It only happens during playback? You've introduced a variable.

What is your audio interface? Do you have the latest driver for it?

Its possible that GroovePlayer is not compatible with Windows 7 x64. Does it crash on any other softsynths?

No you're not screwed for recording. Can you play both instruments at once? Probably not. Do you have players for each instrument playing at the same time? Some plugins don't get along. True pianos is one of them. The problem as I have observed it is that some plugins ask for the same memory address's when working- installed and this causes a crash. Or the same processer scheduling-memory address. So, record the parts seperately using only one plugin at a time on the project. It's the biggest "grey" area of this art right now.

I am just about to send an email to support now.

I am guessing this meens I am screwed for recording untill they sort out a solution ?

This is a very common error condition, usually the result of a programming bug, and as such can have many, many causes. It usually means a program has attempted to reference memory but did not specify a valid address (usually because of a null pointer). Refusing access to illegal memory locations lets Windows protect itself from errant programs, assuring that it's the application that crashes and not Windows.

Open a support request with CW and send them your minidump. They will be able to determine the exact conditions when the access violation was raised. That could lead them to a bug fix in the groove player, if it turns out to be a bug in that module, or they might identify another plugin as the culprit.

(This is probably completely irrelevant, but I did see True Pianos crash SONAR once - embarrassingly during a live product demo by CW.)

Any idea how to eliminate whats causeing the problem then ? Ive no ideas my self

If you do a google search for the C0000005 error you will get a lot of info on it.

One thing I found:

A C00000005 error is the old Windows "General Protection Fault". It is a fatal error that could be caused by many things.

- Could be memory
- A faulty printer driver (older HP drives are know to cause this)
- A network card
- Your own programming could have:
- memory leaks
- Improper Garbage Collection (dangling objects)
- etc.

Ive been working on a blank session this morning and i keep geting this crash dump error and haveing to reboot! I have no Idea how to sort the problem.

My computer is an I7-930 12gb, ocz gold, Gigabite X58A UD5 Motherboard. OS win 7X64
Sonar producer 8.5 with all the new upgrades

I was recording guitar all day yesterday with no problems at all but to day I have a piano part in the new track useing true piano> I also installed aplitube to use although i am not useing it yet i am useing pod farm

The only thing that is in the session is one guitar and one piano

I am very new to sonar and have only been useing it for a few days now But I cant useint like this when the error apears my speekers have really loud fuzz in them and i cant risk damageing them
