i had a Martin Uke once. Only real use I found for it was to cover the unpainted spackle on the walls.

I'm no DIY expert but I think that would leave a lump when you papered over it.

From what Brit Early Music History (well not like 1245 AD or anything that early) Pre beatles , the UKE figured significantly in Skiffle music

Does old punk songs on it, IIRC his cover of the Damned's Smash it Up was particularly good.

I'm afraid to say that I haven't Eric - I can't fault his choice of material though.
