except that Metalheads EZX is not included, and I think I found a few other items that were not there, I was not real happy when I ordered The Metal Foundry SDX and I was messaging teh salesman and asked if I get a DVD or actually 5 Dvd's sent to me as I was not sure where my VSSD box was that in a seperate weird sitation I almost did not get nor did I get the correct Serial # From Guitar Center when I bought EZDrummer ( It was a whole new concept to me getting downloads or having 20 DVD's for 90% of the Products and all I have to do Is run install on all I plan to use and then as I am able register the program and since it is already installed just authorize) Back to TMF I had said I get the VSSD when I got EZDrummer but had no plans then to go any further then the DFH EZX. They sent me 0 DVD and then said I said I had teh DVD is a VSSD pack which is exactly 180 from what I said.
Now I give out need to know info Period, If they do need it they get no info LOL.
IS the newer VSSD boxes updated with Ie Metalheads EZX, some of the other SDX's and are any of the MIDI packs included in VSSD or is that still 100 Download only??
Since I did not get my 5 DVD's the ones I had are kinda toast because I was an idiot and not planning to use any more of them and had 2 DVD's hang and I had to clean-polish Polish-Clean to get them running smooth again only a matter of time and they be RIP.
+1 I did find that Meguiars Plastic Polish ( same they use on plastc Headlight restore) works fantastic de-scratching DVD's CD's etc.
Best stuff I have ever used, Brasso falls in second but needs lots of Finesse as it can dry a little an dget really gritty and Abrasive.
How would I go about getting the 5 Metal Foundry DVD's again so in case I need to reinstall or move to a differnt computer i Don't find myslef S.O.L

I do realize I am on a cakewalk forum and not a Toontrack on but I thought since we were talking toontrack and DVD's etc. I kinda assumed someone on here would be able to answer me and it would save me time and also be great information fo rfutere cakewalk-toontrack marriges

Just closing the loop on this one. The install disks arrived this morning.

What i got was a "VSSD box" with SD 2 and all the SDX, EZ drummer and all of the EZX except the tow most recent and EZMix. Of course they need the serial numbers to work but its good for any future electronic delivery and I have an extra backup now for the EZX I bought as download and an extra set of EZDrummer and Superior Drummer disks, so I a a happy man.

AudioMidi have confirmed that the disks are being sent at no extra charge. $99 for Custom and Vintage shipped to the UK is a good deal.

I was happy with the response by customer services to my emails, the only delays were due to the time difference. The product description could have been clearer to avoid confusion, but I am getting the box, which is more than I bargained for so I am happy.

If I decide to buy one of them I will pay extra for a disk. I have disks for all of the toontrack products on the "black box" set except for the new expansions and I prefer it that way. I've had to reinstall a few times and I'd rather have a physical media for them.

A quick update. Serial number received and the product is regestered with Toontrack. The download is a partial. I have e-mailed Audiomidi to find out what happens about getting the full product.

A bit more research shows that Dave is correct (not that I doubted he would be) . If you go to buy the down load form the Toontrack site its says

- Custom & Vintage SDX™ - Partial Download.

You don't see this until its in the shopping cart. It will be fun to see how this pans out.

12 GB disk space is required so the full download would have been 1.5 to 2 times the size of Orange Tree's steel strings.

EDIT: I checked the ad at Audiomidi and it is a disk that will be shipped to you. There may or not be a download sampler for this on the Toontrack site. Check this out before you buy and are dissapointed because you have to wait.

I went through the check out stage and the delivery option clearly said "electronic delivery" with zero shipping charges to my UK address. I was assuming it would work the same as the EZXs I purchased from US retailers where you get the serial number and down load from your Toontrack account. As long as they honour the pricing I can wait for a disk.

The order is still processing. I will update when I have more info.

What is the total size of the library?

Be careful about what is implied by the term electronic delivery. SDX libraries are quite large and can take a long time to download even with a broadband connection. Because of this, most electronic deliveries are a smaller sampler version of the library to get you something to play with while you wait on the full disk version of the library to arrive.

Audio Midi has Toontrack SDXs on sale for $99 at the moment. Its electronic delivery so its viable world wide.
Superior is on sale for $199, but I think that is boxed only.
