The 700 series is pretty specific about the way it plays from my understanding of it.

Wouldn't expect much joy on Mac platforms either without drivers...

You never know though!

Cheers and happy fiddling.
VS-700C console compatibility with other DAW and audio interfaces (mocababy)

 Hi

I am very newbie to Sonar and Cakewalk products. I appreciate your help and advice.

1.
I recently had a chance to buy VS-700 console in a very good so i did it.. ...will arrive soon.
However I am "Cubase" user and have not tried Sonar yet. I am wondering if the console would work as a Mackie control surface?
There is not much information in all documantaion about the compatibility and switching to Mackie protocol.

Has anyone used the great VS-700C console with other DAW like Cubase, Logic?

2. Another question is about its compatibility with MAC OS (Snow Leopard, Lion), does it support that platforms?

3. I know that the console makes a great set together with the VS-700R I/O audio interface which i dont have. And here is my anothe big questions mark. Will any other interface like Roland Octa work with the console, so that everything works in the same way as with the Cakewalk IO box? (headset outputs etc)

4. What about using Roland Octa + VS700c on MAC with Cubase for instance?

I appreciate your help and advice.
have a good day!
