Can't locate sound card. (maestro72)

I did some quick research after reading your post. I had changed to MME in X1. Since your post I went in and unchecked some of the devices in the input and output devices section and made sure they matched up. After that I have sound but with choppiness. I increased the buffer size in the mixing latency. Fixed the choppiness. Now I don't have sound from Superior Drummer 2 tracks. I am using a cakewalk bundle file that was working on my old system. The sound level indicators are moving indicating sound on the drum track. Just no actual sound output. I will dig more.

Re:Install X1 producer on new laptop. Can't locate sound card. (57Gregy)

What did you change, X1 or the sound card? Or both? They have to be the same. Open the sound card mixer and see what it's set to. Open X1 and see what it's set to. Change one or the other so they match. Is that what you did?
On the new install, did you also download and install any necessary updates and patches?
Re:Install X1 producer on new laptop. Can't locate sound card. (maestro72)

Okay, I changed to MME and I see what I believe is the correct output. However when I try to play any projects, including the sample projects included with X1 Producer, I get the error message "Unable to open audio record device. Device may not support the current project's audio format or may be in use." I have playe with the sample rate settings but no avail. Ideas?

Re:Install X1 producer on new laptop. Can't locate sound card. (maestro72)

I just got a new HP Envy and am switching the install from my old desktop to my new laptop, the Envy. I want to hear my mix out of the laptop speakers. The soundcard is AMD High Definition Audio Device. This does not show up in the drop down box for the playback timing master and it isn't listed in the devices input or output drivers. It shows three other devices. I've tried all of them and still no sound when I playback. I have checked the track outputs and they are set to master. The master output I set for which ever device I have set up as output driver and device in the settings.
