(Daylaa)

Ok - thanks guys I will take your advice....

....maybe I dreamed of this magic key? <img src="http://forum.cakewalk.com/upfiles/smiley/s13.gif" alt="" data-smiley="" />
Re:I've forgotten which button to press..... (RobertB)

Dave, I can't find a key combination that does that, but there is a variation on the theme that Chappel suggested.
You can click on the slider, and use the mouse wheel to adjust the node up and down.
Perhaps this is the action that you remember?
Re:I've forgotten which button to press..... (Daylaa)

Hey Chappel - Thanks for your input,

I have no trouble sweeping frequencies, however when I find the 'troublesome frequency' and want to get rid of it, it is nearly impossible to pull it down with the mouse without the mouse moving left and right too, meaning I lose the frequency I was on.

There used to be a key to push and hold which would 'lock' the left right movement of the mouse meaning I could pull down the node without needing a very steady hand. I found it very useful in my workflow. Do you happen to know which key or combination of keys to press?

(Alternatively I can just use the sliders/cursor keys which you have suggested!) But I'm just curious to find out that damned key again! I've tried lots. It may even be 'control + key' or 'Alt + key'...

Thanks,
Dave
Re:I've forgotten which button to press..... (Chappel)

I'm not sure what you mean. How can you sweep through the frequencies if the left/right movement is locked? Are you clicking and dragging the node and while doing so the target frequency shifts? You can use the slider to boost/cut the frequencies and that won't affect the target frequency.

You can also select the box with the frequency in it and use the cursor keys to change the target frequency. You can select any box or slider and use the cursor keys to change the value. That's handy for fine tuning the values.
I've forgotten which button to press..... (Daylaa)

...In Sonitus EQ. When i'm sweeping frequencies, I swear I used to be able to 'lock' the left right movement of the node so that I could drop the frequency out without it moving sideways...I cannot remember what key to press...can anyone tell me?

(I went away for 4 months, couldnt do any music....this is the only thing i forgot how to do!)

Thanks, Dave
