WITH 10 XDR MIC PRE'S AND A 4 BAND EQ ON EACH MIC PRE. DOES ANYONE ELSE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS MIXER

I've got the 1642. It's a really nice mixer. I had an older 1402 VLZ and I upgraded to the 1642 VLZ Pro. You can really notice the difference of the newer XDR pres. I have had issues with a sticky op-amp that is beginning to annoy me (insert joke here).

The only thing I wish it supported is the rotopod like the 1602 so you can change your connection layout. That being said, it's a good amount cheaper than the 1602, but obviously at the expense of 6 preamps.

RE: MACKIE 1642 VLZ PRO (Kevin Kascak)

Its a good mixer. The preamps are pretty good. Also I like it better than the 1602 as the 1642 has a master control room volume control and stereo input channels that bypass the preamp.

RE: MACKIE 1642 VLZ PRO (william.c)

I BET THAT HAS GOT TO HURT.<img src="http://forum.cakewalk.com/upfiles/smiley/s2.gif" alt="" data-smiley="" />

RE: MACKIE 1642 VLZ PRO (Ona)

I can't quote specs, but I'm pleased as punch with my Mackie. I hear the reps drop-kick 'em across the room at demos to prove their durability. Can't say I'd want to take the chance myself, but hey, let's enjoy the show.

MACKIE 1642 VLZ PRO (william.c)

i JUST PURCHASED THIS MIXER.
