actually now that I'm home, I understand you're likely not talking about collapsing the whole inspector window, but getting the properties window closed.

click on the TRACK or CLIP button at the top of the window. if the track properties are open, clicking on the track button will close it, if the clip window is open, clicking on the clip button will close it. clicking on the one which is not open will only open it.

I'm not at my DAW to verify with MC6, but there should be a little << arrow to collapse the properties view.

I don't have MC 6, but in other versions, the Track Inspector is on the left and looks like a mixer channel strip, not on the top.
Do you mean the Navigator? If that's what you mean, you can just drag the bottom of the window up so it doesn't take up any space (in other versions of the software).

MC6 is pretty cool and has a bunch of things musically that MC4 didn't.

What you may not know is the new stuff in MC6 will work perfectly in MC4.

Mostly, it's just a matter of getting used to the new look of 6 and learning where all the old things were hidden. " /> I experienced this when I jumped from MC4 to X1 essentials.

IMHO... you can't beat MC4 for it's simplicity of use.

How do you make the Track or Clip properties window go away in Inspector? This window is blocking the top half of the track and bus window. Nothing I do closes the property window. It's REALLY annoying. I upgraded to MC6 from MC4, and am regretting that decision. There are lots of quirks with MC6, and it feels "clumsy"
