I used it with Dim. Pro with various presets,my favorite was using a string section with a tapping riff,it just needed a disco groove under it,instant 70's. I also used it with Modo Bass and plan on layering the 2 basses instead of using just one or the other.I'm going to get the Ample Sound P and Jazz Basses in the near future.
Re: Ample Sound releases Bass Riffer for Virtual Bass Instruments (v2.5 updates) (abacab)

Having been playing with the Riffer a lot too, and trying to refer to the manual as I go. Lotsa fun! <img src="http://forum.cakewalk.com/upfiles/smiley/s2.gif" alt="" data-smiley="" />

Discovered that the dice feature in the Riffer lets you create random riffs. The key choices are the twelve major scale root notes, then there are over 70 scale templates to choose from, and this is where you get to pick from major, minor, and many other modes.

Now I'm wondering how you can tell what scales the supplied riffs are based on, since they only reference the key as one of the 12 root notes?
Re: Ample Sound releases Bass Riffer for Virtual Bass Instruments (v2.5 updates) (StevenMikel)

I'm glad I got this, the Riffer is cool and fun. At that point you can drag the saved file into the Riffer but only a couple of bars will show up.

They are working with a midi file I sent them but it currently seems very limited vs. the tab to Riffer. I still have high hopes for this feature as it matures.

Also, they just released a 2.5.1 update for the bass instruments.
