If you want loops go to www.betamonkeymusic.com I use them and find they have a good sound and are easy to use and they have most everything...

I have FL 5, it's ok. I used it for creating some drum lines, there are some nice sounding drum samples in the program - however I ended up making a copy of the kits I liked and pasted them into my leafDrums sound directory and use them in there....cymbals are still short on the decay - but if you search for cymbal samples you can find some really nice ones to use.

As far as other features in FL - 5 Pro has a ton, but I haven't really dug into using any of them. I guess the question I have is what style of music are you going to be writing / recording?

If you are wanting a program to create drums - I would recommend leafDrums and find some other kit sounds to use in it.

No, CW doesn't have a "side by side" comparison of products, but another forum member has posted this:

Does CW have some easy page that describes what all their products are and what they do. They all have cryptic names that don't really tell you what they do. Like Sonar, Kinetic, Pyro, Project... Should i be looking at Sonar too? For new musicians it is pretty daunting with so much software out there.
Sorry for the stupid questions, just trying to get as much info as possible so i know what i am doing, and not missing out on anything!

I've never used it, but yes, it is supposed to be really good for creating looped based projects.

Kinetic is CW's parallel to FL. I don't work for CW or anything, but you should always check out different things available and make an infromed decision before investing in something that you will likely have for a while.

Anyone ever work with Fruity Loops? My co-worker here told me that it is great, especially from creating drum sampes or loops. I checked out their web-site and just not sure what exactly it is for or how to use it with MC3.
Let me know if you have any experience with this software.
